The food is very good. The place is clean and roomy.  The service is slow so don't go if you are in a rush. But the food makes up for their service.

I like to support Asian businesses, and Mas is by far the best Chinese restaurant. The food is fantastic with great variety. Very big portions, which they pack your leftovers for you (good service). The staff have always been wonderful and excited to serve. Mas is very passionate about their food and culture and strive to create the authentic Chinese ambience. I've been going here for years, and no other Chinese restaurant has compared. We are so lucky that they also happen to be halal. (I LOVE their tea).

Made a Yelp account to write this review.

This is some of best Chinese food out there, full stop. It is worth going out of your way for.

One consideration to take is that the food is served family style. Bring yours. The bigger the group, the more things you get to try. Be prepared to take leftovers home, too.

Great family style classic Chinese restaurant. Got the thick scallion pancake and it is huge!! Also ordered the sautéed pea pod leaves and it was really light, refreshing balance to the other dishes. Great with the garlic too. The spicy tofu was yummy too and we dipped the bready scallion pancake in it. Vegetable noodles were also solid. I double checked with the server to make sure the dishes I got were vegetarian.

Was back in CA for a visit so you know I had to get food from my favorite (only local) Uyghur Chinese restaurant . Ordered online & went to pick it up- was excited to intro friends to this wonderful cuisine.

It was a Friday afternoon & they were pretty slammed- and, sadly, out of their homemade noodles.

They kindly phoned me to tell me immediately after my online order so I could change up accordingly. Tho she did almost think I was canceling my whole order -um- communication breakdown remedied in the end.

Took about 45 minutes for our takeout order- but it was definitely worth it.

We ordered lamb with pickled cabbage (mild, with red pepper oil on the side), sautéed pea sprouts, and of course the homemade sesame (thin) bread (hold the red bean, please). Took me back to Uyger Alley in Beijing- yes, was sadly a long (very different) time ago...

My one regret was not getting the lamb with pickled cabbage soup- still trying to figure that recipe out on my own. Didn't want to weird out the people I was visiting by bringing 2 types of pickled veg dishes for lunch- a good choice, I think.

When I picked up the food, the dear woman was *still* apologizing about being out of the homemade noodles.
The restaurant still looks the same inside- Moroccan-style fountain and all in the lobby. Nice that some things do not change.

This place gets busy, especially with large groups, so timing is everything. The sesame bread with green onion is super tasty and the portion is generous. Beautiful waiting area and, overall, a pleasant experience.

Twenty years of dining there and we are yet to be disappointed outright, although there a few dishes that are lackluster. The staff are always hustling and this place can get busy. Be prepared to wait most evenings. There is a Hispanic guy there that outworks anyone i have seen. He is unreal and amazing. Be specific in your order and do not expect it too quickly. It's fresh and well prepared. Hole in the wall but good family sized portions and fresh.
